Thank you for your interest in the Chesapeake Career Center. Our application is closed for submissions. Please check back on April 3rd for another opportunity to apply based on available courses. Our district offers several communications platforms that provide students, parents, and staff the opportunity to engage in a two-way dialogue. Additional guidance on how to express a concern is available to our students and their parents. According to her colleague, our TOY “always has her heart in the right state of mind for our kids. She does so much for all of our programs.” According to another, Mrs. Speelman “has a servant’s heart and goes above and beyond to help everyone at CCC. Joy truly models the Spirit of the Cyclone with their enthusiasm for Career and technical education, their willingness to work with all people and their involvement in numerous activities.” Students are encouraged to use Chesapeake Public Schools bus transportation and should keep in mind that driving any motorized vehicle to school is a privilege. Students who do not abide by school rules and abuse their parking privilege will have the pass revoked. Student parking permits for CCC will be sold for $10. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Students applying for a parking pass must do the following: On the evening of June 2, 2022 students, instructors, employers, families and special guests gathered together at TCC to celebrate over 80 high school seniors as they signed on with the careers they will begin after they graduate this month. It is with great pleasure that we announce that Mrs. Joy Speelman has been selected as Chesapeake Public Schools High School Teacher of the Year! She is helping to develop a pipeline of trained and professional workers who graduate high school fully prepared to enter the Hampton Roads workforce. In May, 2022, over eighty students committed to full time employment with forty-two employers at the school’s Signing Day ceremony.
