House Points App: Coming Soon
Carver uses a six house system. The goals of the House System are to ensure that our large school has a small feel, to promote positive relationships and mentoring for students, to promote positive relationships between faculty and students, to give every student another caring adult, to instill a sense of pride in being a G W Carver student. We will be getting the House System app which will allow the teachers to track points and communicate all of the amazing things your students are accomplishing during their school day. More information is coming soon!
Science Textbook Adoption
The Chesapeake Public Schools Science Department is seeking parent and community input for the citywide adoption of the new K–8 science textbooks. Citizens are invited to examine the proposed textbooks and provide feedback. Please visit this website to see the complete list of textbook candidates.
Ms. Brooks is our Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Verletita Brooks. She was selected as G W Carver Intermediate’s 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year. Ms. Brooks commitment to her students and learning is evident when walking into her classroom. We are so proud of you!
Mrs. Price is our Reading Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Debbie Price. She was selected as G W Carver Intermediate’s 2020-2021 Reading Teacher of the Year. She has been a tremendous asset to our school and students for a number of years. We are so lucky to have Mrs. Price work with all of the students and teachers within the building.
