On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, all of our schools and centers will open their doors to begin the 2021-2022 school year. Each school will provide full-time, in-person learning, five days a week. Our staff is excited to get our students back in the classroom and engage in meaningful interactions on a daily basis.

Families who preferred online learning were provided two virtual learning options, Chesapeake Virtual Academy (CVA) or Virtual Virginia (VVA), depending on grade level. Families were asked to submit applications for these programs to their student’s school administrative team. Students in the VVA program follow the Virtual Virginia calendar. CVA students follow the district calendar.

We are proud of the progress we have made in our one-to-one (1:1) initiative. The goal of the 1:1 initiative is to provide each student with a computing device. Chromebooks will be issued to students enrolled in Grades 4 – 12. Students enrolled in Grades K – 3 will have access to devices in the classroom.
