In response to recent requests from families to offer virtual learning opportunities for the spring 2022 semester, Chesapeake Public Schools worked with the Virginia Department of Education to access additional seats for the Virtual Virginia Program. As a result, a limited enrollment window is now open for Virtual Virginia’s full-time program serving students in grades K-8 and Chesapeake Virtual Academy for students in grades 9-12. Seats are limited in both programs and enrollment requests must be received by Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Parents of students in grades K-5 who are interested in enrolling with Virtual Virginia for the remainder of the current school year should complete the Elementary Full-Time Virtual Virginia Application and return it to their child’s zoned school principal. Students in grades 6-8 should complete the Middle School Full-Time Virtual Virginia Application and return it to their zoned school principal. Applications can be returned in person at the school or emailed directly to the principal. If approved, we anticipate students will have a start date on or before Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
Students in grades 9-12 who are interested in enrolling in Chesapeake Virtual Academy should contact their school counselor as soon as possible to discuss course options for the spring.
