On Thursday, August 12, 2021, Plasser American, which  manufactures maintenance of way equipment at its South Norfolk (Chesapeake) plant  and is used nationwide to maintain railroad tracks  kicked off a program called “On the Right Track.” The program commemorates Plasser American’s 60th anniversary in the United States  as being on the right track in the rail industry.  Plasser is also embracing  the importance of being on the right track in the community. Danielle White, Project Coordinator for Plasser American explained,

“Many of our employees have children who attend the schools that are represented here today. It is important for us to show the importance of excellence through education and positive behavior. Supporting the schools perfectly aligns with our ‘On The Right Track’ program – we ensure the tracks are being tended to just like the needs of students are addressed and supported by fantastic teachers and principals.”

Principals Micheal Ottley (TIS), Anthony Perry (TME), and Michelle Ferebee (CAR) receive a $3,000 check from Plasser American, presented by Ms. Danielle White, Project Coordinator for Plasser American.
