Chesapeake Public Schools is committed to the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors. We work closely with national, state, and local safety officials to ensure that our facilities are prepared to handle an emergency.

During an emergency or closure, information will be posted on the district website and the legal guardian(s) of impacted students will be contacted directly (text message or phone call).

School Closings and Delays
In the event of school closures due to weather or other emergencies, or if school operating hours change, parents and staff will be notified by a phone call and text messaging via our Parent Alert System (PAS).
